2010 Oct 19 – NorthShore Annual Mtg
Tuesday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Israel Room.
Nine in attendance. Five trustees, Gaylynn Mooney, Janis Picillo, Kathy Higginson, Bruce Emerson, Michael Spencer and Manager Brenda Lake.
Members in Attendance: Sally Rajamaki, Ken Canada, woman with long yellow hair
No quorum. A replacement meeting to be held October 20, 2010.
Gaylynn Mooney gave a report on the SSMA. Attendees were asked for feedback on several issues, one of them being restructuring of the Masters Board, and Northshore is firmly opposed to this.
Financial Status and Projected 2011 Budget
The berm trail on the west side of Silver Willow Lake was discussed. It meanders across the wet land and along the lake berm. It is too narrow. Dangerous to enter at monument sign corner. Too steep. !00′ around the peninsula belongs to Mountain Regional for their well easement. Diminishes use or access to very little usage.
NorthShore sends out billings in March, in 2010 it was in April. Ken Canada commented that the report sounds like little lake repair is running under budget. Mooney stated that they are performing State recommendations only.
NS – Business:
Parking – an issue once snow plow limitations commence from November 1 to May 1. There is a speed control sign parked in front of Mike Gladson’s house on SIlver Springs Drive and Meadows Connection. It is hazardous for children walking home from school, having to go around it and onto the roadway. Ask for it to be moved somewhere else less hazardous in the neighborhood.
Mailboxes – Brenda took inventory and pictures of Seattle Lux mailboxes installed three years ago. Nearly one-third, 26 out of 90, have signs of disintegration from road salt, paint peeling, and other types of damage. Though the company will send out replacements the homeowners have stated that it is too much trouble to do so. Mooney stated that next year’s new board will probably go back to former policy of allowing property owners to install any type of box they want as long as it is approved by the ARC Committee.
Member Directory – it is online. If you need one with email addresses ask Brenda. Joanie Johnson built the site.
Information from the NorthShore Masters Rep:
1st. What Bill Noland is talking about is that there will be a board meeting on November 9th and an annual meeting on Dec. 7th. for the entire neighborhood. That is why the meeting will be big. There can be no new restructuring of the Master’s Association until the new Bylaws are voted by all the property owners which will not happen this year so I am not worried about the 4 person master’s.
2nd. In terms of the letter Bill Gunter referred to that obligates the property owners directly instead of the Master Association to pay for the expenditures or liabilities of that board or the common areas. Do you have any information or knowledge about this letter?, I think she must have misunderstood. I have never heard of such a thing.
