1986 Lake use ID card

June 2, 1986

Dear Silver Springs Homeowner:

The trespassers on the Silver Willow Lake and streams are becoming an increasing nuisance and liability to the homeowners of Silver Springs. Within the next couple of weeks you will notice no trespassing signs going up around the large lake. The signs will read as follows:

PRIVATE PROPERTY
NO TRESPASSING
LAKE AND STREAMS FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE
OF SILVER SPRINGS HOMEOWNERS WITH I.D.
NO MOTOR VEHICLES OFF PAVED ROADS
VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED WITH CRIMINAL CODE #76-6-206

As you will note the sign requires an I.D. Card for Silver Springs Homeowners. For the homeowners currently paid on the homeowners dues as of the last billing to the second quarter of 1986, cards will be issued. If you have not received an I.D. card please pay all your dues and one will be issued. If you lose your card a new one will be issued if you continue to be current on your dues. The homeowners association is trying to help make Silver Springs subdivision a more attractive and desirable place in which to live. Please help us meet our common goals.

Silver Springs’ homeowners will have access to the Silver Willow Lake on the south side of the lake where the Silver Springs Dr. and Silver Springs Rd. intersect or along the north side of the lake on the dirt road, or along the Parcel K easement (see map). No vehicles (including ORV, ATV, 2, 3, or wheel vehicles are to be driven off these roads onto fields and meadows which will help to prevent loss of vegetation and prevent erosion. Other dirt roads will be blocked to traffic. The county sheriff will site unlicensed vehicles driving on the paved roads. Also people who do not have I.D.’s are prohibited from fishing in our lake and streams. When using these areas please remove your trash. The Homeowners Association has received letters stating these stipulations from present and potential future owners of the property surrounding the lake. If any of you see violators to these stipulations or people causing damage to our posted signs please call the Summit county sheriffs department office at 649-9561. The sheriff’s department is aware of our regulations. If necessary we will prosecute violators of these requirements.

In the future the Homeowners Association hopes to acquire ownership of the property on the south side of the lake at the intersection so that we may make it a more attractive usable park area. Until that time we will need to make due with the natural landscaping.

Thank you all very much for your cooperation and help.

Sincerely,

Silver Springs Homeowners Association Board of Trustees
