1985 - Bylaws : Article IV Section 2 : All Trustees elected to office will serve for a term of two (2) years.
Annual elections to alternately install four (4) Trustees one year and three (3) Trustees the next year, etc.

FLETCHER COURT is the one street in Silver Springs that has a historic name. Jim Murnin lived off Old Ranch Road and Highway 224 just southeast of the Wilford Snyder home (and across the street from David and Maud Lincoln Snyder), which neighbors the area once known as the “Upper” Fletcher Ranch. The R.H. Fletchers had been one of the original settlers in Snyderville, and built the stone home and barns where County Commissioner Bill Wallin and his wife Diane Wallin lived, and is now part of the Swaner Nature Preserve. Later Fletcher’s bought extensive acreage from the Gilmore’s and Cannons, which was the heart of the Snyder family holdings years past, and meant that they owned property on both sides of Highway 224.(See “The Californian” for more on Lieut. R.H. Fletcher.)

When Lou Felton, who had been in the area working, married Ellen Fletcher, this couple lived in the old rock house on the upper Fletcher Ranch. This couple are the parents of Beverly Felton Pace. She married Standley Pace of the Pace family in Silver Creek or the Pace-Atkinson Junction mentioned in the other earlier history.

Vern and Virginia Hardman, early developers of Silver Springs named Fletcher Court in honor of R.H. Fletcher and his family. Some descendants include Axel Roy and Blanche W. Fletcher and their sons Marion and Mel Fletcher (Mel was an early skier at Creole Hill on Rasmussen Ranch and early Ecker Hill Ski Jumper. Mel and friends used to tour on skis from Park City to Brighton. In 1946-1968 when friends Otto Carpenter and Bob Burns started Snow Park, now Deer Valley since 1975. Mel founded and served as president of the Snow Park Ski Club. He became a certified instructor in the early 50s, founded and served as the director of the Snow Park Ski School from 1952 - 1964. Mel conducted group lessons for Park City’s children as part of a city recreation program and served as director of the Park City Ski Patrol from 1965 -1972. Mel has competed in ski races well into his senior years and has made significant contributions to the preservation of Utah ski history. In 1986, Mel successfully worked to secure a spot on the Utah Historical Register for Ecker Hill, the site of world-record ski jumps.) Fletcher’s paternal granddad,”Henry Wiest, was a local barber living in Swede Alley and fought Park City’s Great Fire in 1898. Park City Mountain Resort has named one ski run Mel’s Alley for Mel Fletcher, and another ski run is named Blanche’s Run for Mel’s mother, Blanche Weist Fletcher.
